This slick custom featuring modern tooling was the last project of retiring AMT designer, John Mueller, who had carried this idea with him for many years. As a celebration of his body of work, the powers that be green-lighted the 1939 Chevy Wagon Rod which was released in 2000 the same year the product planner retired. The Kit Featuring Separate Frame and Floor Plan, Poseable Front Wheels, Supercharged Engine, A Highly Detailed Interior and Custom Wheels was a big hit with advanced modelers.
Now, for the first time in nearly 10 years, the new Kats at AMT are unleashing the 1939 Wagon Rod back on the show car circuit! It’s a low-slung custom, full of 1930’s design cues but one that hides a completely modern chassis, interior and drivetrain! For this upgraded reissue, all new customizing decals are provided and Retro Deluxe packaging wraps it all up!
