Now, a price guide from Bill Coulter, a noted author of at least 5 books on modeling and Bob Shelton, an avid collector and modeler of over 50 years, have combined forces to produce this ninth and last edition of this unbelievable reference book in the same spirit and format as the beloved 'Fantasies in Plastic' that was the Bible of kit values until Coulter and Shelton .Thousands of man hours have gone into this most comprehensive 250 + page book. Bob Shelton writes in the prologue, "This update will be the last edition that I will produce. The reason for this update is to try to cover inflation and the rise in prices and also to accommodate the many builders and collectors who are selling their collections". This last edition includes an article written by Alan Bussie entitled "Insurance for your Model Collection".
Organized by manufacturer, you can quickly look up a kit of interest, or even better, identify which kit you may need. Many have used 'The Directory' to value their personal collections for insurance purposes and estate settlements. Unlike other references, this one is not based on the author's prejudices and wishes, but on the average trading range of the actual models in the current marketplace. Please understand this includes only cars & trucks in 1/25 and 1/24 scale by US manufacturers. In addition, it has Specialty and Show Cars, Foreign Cars, Big Rig Trucks, NASCAR, Dragsters, Indy, Construction, and Civilian Type Boats.
