Update: March 18, 2023 - We have sold out again for the the 4th time now. Our suppliers keep short shipping us as demand for this kit was much higher than Revell forecasted. We do have yet another moderate shipment of LA Choppers arriving later next week. They have been selling out quickly, so we suggest you get your order in sooner rather than later as they will be completely sold out soon. We reserve the right to allocate and limit orders to two per customer until availability is more robust.
By the early 1970s customized “chopper” motorcycles were hugely popular across the United States, but the true home of these one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures was Los Angeles, California. In those days Revell was headquartered in L.A.’s Venice neighborhood, and this now-classic L.A. Street Chopper kit was inspired by the wild profiles and defining features of the custom bikes that cruised the city’s streets. Available for the first time in decades, this big 1/8-scale kit is nearly a foot-and-a-half long once it’s built. Period-perfect details include stretched-out “springer” forks, a rigid frame, “fish tail” exhausts, high-back seat with simulated diamond-tuft upholstery, a chrome sissy bar, and Frisco-style high-mount footpegs.
