In 1964, Ford went to the 24 hours of Le Mans with the intention of beating Ferrari, but they did not achieve this goal. So then in 1966 they returned and won the 24 hours of Le Mans. They won it again three more times in a row. Then 50 years later, Ford returned to the famous race with a brand new Ford GT. This time the big V-8 was replaced with a 3.5 liter Twin-Turbo EcoBoost V-6 with intercoolers. It won the very competitive GTE-Pro Class and celebrated a triumphant return.
