Description
Made famous by Roland Leong, a standout of the Funny Car circuit, the Hawaiian Charger was rebuilt with a redesigned Mini Charger body, following the original's high-speed rollover. Once the rebuilding process was complete, the Hawaiian regularly ran in the low seven-second bracket at speeds exceeding 200 mph.
The Hawaiian was one of the first cars if not the first to sport the new "mini-Dodge" body. The mini design came about after one of the first funny cars reflecting the second Charger model, the Hawaiian, had a terrible accident on one of its first runs as mentioned above. The body on Charger two was just too wide, especially in the front. Therefore, the body was redesigned for funny car use (and was the precursor of the current aerodynamic Funny Car designs).
Features
Detailed supercharged 426 cubic inch Chrysler Hemi engine
Mini Dodge body hinged to show offset Logghe chassis
