This kit is… an Edsel!? It’s AMT’s tongue-in-cheek spoof of early altered wheelbase funny cars. Fun and easy to build – all from new tooling. Any modeler with moderate experience will enjoy this project! The Kats at AMT concocted the craziest combination they could think of: A ’58 Edsel body mounted on an altered wheelbase drag chassis! For this special re-creation of the original kit, the entire model was retooled from the ground up. But this time, the rear wheel wells of the Edsel body were moved forward to a proper altered wheelbase position. Therefore, you don’t need to use the fender skirts if you don’t want to! All the kooky accessories are present: outhouse door front bumper, busted side ladder, skirts and mud flaps. Decals were carefully recreated and expanded. The amusing new box harkens back to the original “kit in a paper bag” packaging! Get your wheels up!
