Issued in 1972 and manufactured in Troy, Michigan. this is AMT's first and only issue of the 1972 Pinto. As with all first issues, the kit is crisply molded in white with zero flash and bright chrome. These kits typically sell for $150-$190 in sealed mint condition. This one has a couple of miner issues that impact the value for collectors, but make no difference to builders.

We note the kit was missing the original windshield and side windows. A complete perfect replacement glass set is included from another AMT Pinto kit. We also note that the stock steering wheel has a clean break that is easily repairable. It is a single fracture and the steering wheel is still in tact. The broken part is not loose easily repaired with a drop of super glue. The Racing steering wheel is perfect and still on the parts tree as are 95% of the parts.

To protect the beautiful old school original box and to keep the contents in tact, we have resealed the outer box.
