1937 Ford Panel Delivery Truck (1:25) (fs)

"From Chicago to everywhere"

In 1937, Ford trucks were used in many different ways. In addition to commercial use, the same truck was used by police and rescue first responders. The very specialized trucks we have today hadn't been developed in 1937. Do, the basic delivery truck was converted to almost every task imaginable. These workhorses were powered by another work horse the 221 cubic inch Flathead V-8 producing 85 horsepower.

The commercial uses are famous.  Panel trucks like these helped turn a small wholesale foods business started for $400 into a sprawling multi-national, multi-million dollar corporation. The Sexton Foods Corporation used panel trucks and railcars to transport millions of dollars in groceries to colleges, restaurants and the army. These panel trucks are pickups converted with larger enclosed cargo cabins for transporting bulk orders that don't require a semi-tractor or full-size truck. This kit features a detailed Flathead V-8, interior with simulated wood floor and choice of three decal versions.
