With the introduction of the newly designed Charger body for 1968, Dodge had an instant winner. The 1968 Dodge Charger was the first year of a new body design that was referred to as the "Coca-Cola body" style. The sleek curvy body had dual scallops on the doors and hood to help accent all of its swoopy lines, giving it equal suitability for street performance and drag racing.
