1970 Plymouth Duster 'Moongoose' Tom McEwen's Funny Car (1/24) (fs)
Released in 1970. This kit is factory sealed inside, and we have resealed the outside of the box for protection and care. It is in fantastic condition.
Popular drag racer Tom McEwen pilots this speed demon to well over 2000 mph. Sponsored by Mattel, Plymouth and Coca-Cola, the Mongoose is a fiberglass duplicate of Plymouth Duster body powered by a powerful 426 Hemi with GMC 6-71 blower. Twin drag chutes are mounted on the back. This model is an exact 1/24 scale reproduction.
The tilt-up body, just like on the real car, reveals the realistic detail inside... custom tubular racing chassis, roll cage, driver's seat, instruments, blown Plymouth 426 Hemi mill, fuel and water tanks. Decal sheet has racing stripes and authentically reproduced sponsors' insignia. One-piece body is molded in bright red with other parts in blue and many chrome plated. Rear wheels have realistic wrinkled slicks.
