This kit is sealed inside. We took the liberty of sealing the decal which is perfect and the glass tree. We have also resealed the kit to keep the contents in tact. While the decal looks bright and perfect, decals that are 40 years old are subject to deteriorate when applied if no precautions are taken. We would suggest coating with Microscale Liquid decal (DP127) prior to usage. This is the first issue of this kit, and as most modelers know, first issues always have the sharpest engraving and highest level of detail. I have seen many contest winning models where one of the secrets was it was built from a first or very early issue. The only thing we do not like about this kit is the two piece tires. Do yourself a favor and pick up some Plastic Performance Parts 1970's Goodyears (PPP-7074G)
