1956 Austin Healey 100-Six (1/25) (SI)
Originally issued in 1959 this is the 1976 reissue of the popular Austin Healey 100-Six when Revell was based in Venice California. This kit is not for the faint of heart. As it features the old multi-piece body implementation, we would only recommend this kit to highly skilled builders or collectors. The kit is complete and was sealed inside when received. Originally only the chrome parts were sealed. The opaque parts have been resealed for protection. The box is very good with some normal shelf wear.
The Austin-Healey 100-6 went into series production in 1956. The designation 100 stood for the 100 mph the sports car could reach, the 6 referred to the 6-cylinders in-line 2.7 litre engine. Compared with its predecessor model the 100-6 had the chassis stretched in the door area. The bonnet now had an integral front air intake. The engine of the six developed 117 bhp, the racy 2+2 seater reached a top speed of around 167 km/h and accelerated from 0 to 100 in just 10.7 seconds. This is a historic Revell model kit featuring: multi-part bodywork, movable hood, detailed 6-cylinder engine, movable boot lid, rotating wheels, filigree wheel spokes, various chrome parts, including bumper bars, rear-view mirror, front radiator grill and door handles.
