Greetings from Atlanta!
August 29, 2008: MONGOO$E

Whether at the wheel of a rail or funny car, Tom McEwen is a legend in the world of speed. He has
held the Speed and Elapsed Time Record seven times plus many track and class speed records at drag
strips around the country. He earned his nickname after beating Don 'The Snake' Prudhomme at Lion's
Dragstrip in 1964, After a series of 1965 match races, the two rivals took the show on the road.
They later became partners in 'Wildlife Racing' developing savvy non-automotive business sponsorships
while continuing their good-natured rivalry on the strip.

Tom's five-decade career remains one of the most dynamic and influential in drag racing. His drive
and passion for going fast has changed the face of racing from pioneering nitro masks to developing
large sponsorships that allow racers to make a living at what they love.
This limited production Model King Mongoose Top Fuel Dragster includes both
open and closed drag chutes, blown and injected drag engine, vinyl slicks and skinnies, a
fire suited driver figure, and authentic colorful Mongoose decals. The kit is molded crisply (with
zero flash) in white and chrome. The picture you see
above of Tom is included on the side panel of the box. These are hot; get them while you
can. Pre-orders are shipping now and new orders are welcome.
August 18, 2008: Ford C-900 Tilt Cab

We just received the AMT Ford C-900 Tilt Cab from AMT. This kit features a 534 c.i. Super-duty V-8 engine,
and a functional tilting cab to reveal the powerplant. With a highly detailed authentic interior and heavy
duty frame, this kit has been a modeler's favorite through the years. Collector prices are
typically in the $100 range for the vintage issues. Now, once again, we all have access to this great vintage
kit in the original vintage box at builder prices. Worldwide production was limited to 3000 pieces, so get them
while you can!
August 6, 2008: New Revell Shelbys, Italeri Pete 378

The 2007 Shelby 500 is the most powerful factory built Mustang in history with 500 horsepower, even more powerful
than the legendary 1969 Boss 429. Molded in white, silver, black, and clear with chrome plated parts and black
vinyl tires, "it gets mean when the light goes green." Featuring a detailed 5.4 litre, 32 valve V-8 with Roots
supercharger and finned cam covers, this Pony is ready to rock.

Complementing the Shelby 500, the 2006 Shelby GT-H, painted in black and gold, was built to celebrate the 40th
anniversary of the original 1966 Shelby GT 350H. There were only 500 units built, all badged, plaqued, and signed
by Carroll Shelby and all only available from Hertz Rental Cars. Powered by a 325 hp, 5.4 litre 32 valve V-8 with
automatic transmission and 90mm cold air intake, this will bring back memories of 1966! The kit also features a
unique hood and front fascia. Be sure to visit the Revell Gallery for detailed pictures
and ordering information.

Sporting the classic Peterbilt look with spacious detailed authentic sleeper cab, this over the road beast is
powered by a 420 hp Detroit Diesel engine. A slope fiberglass hood tilts 90 degrees for full engine access.
The model also features dual exhaust, twin chrome air cleaners, deep taper bumpers and Peterbilt style wheels.
The kit has been refreshed with new box art, new text on the sides, and new decal sheets devoid of some of the
dragon and lizard murals present on some modern Italeri kits. The decal sheet includes a
Period correct trucking company, chassis warning decals and dash decals. The kit is molded in white.
Commissioned by Model Rectifier Corporation as a private run, production was limited to 3000 kits.
June 26, 2008: AMT Tandem Trailers and Engines/Body Parts Packs

Originally issued in 1971, and last reissued in 1979, the Trailmobile 'Double Headers' twin 27 foot exterior post trailers
are one of the most sought after and desirable of vintage big rig AMT kits. Commanding prices in the $150.00 to
$200.00 price range on the rare kit market, this brand new Stevens limited reissue is certainly a welcomed kit
for builders and collectors alike.
The kit includes over 230 super detailed parts from official manufacturer's specifications. An authentic converter
dolly with fifth wheel couples the vans together in "train"configuration. The kit also features detailed suspension
units, dual wheels, big hollow vinyl truck tires, air brakes, and vinyl air hoses. Both Vans feature operating
overhead sliding doors.
Only 3000 were manufactured and Stevens tells us they are already sold out.
We have 144 available and expect them to go pretty quickly. Our kits arrived today, so
be sure to get what you need now while the getting is good.

Also arriving today is the Stevens/AMT Vintage Chrome Engines and Competition Body Parts Packs.
This tasty vintage reissue includes an all chrome Allison Engine, a Pontiac 421 (2 'n 1) Carb or blown,
a Chevy 283 (2 'n 1) Carb or blown, a Corvair Engine, and an old Chrysler 392 Engine. The kit also features
the vintage AMT Competition 'T' Body with interior and roll cage. In the picture
below you can see the details and all the parts from the actual kit directions of both the Allison Engine and the
Competition 'T' body.

Finally, Revell has shipped the much-anticipated 1969 Nova with all new tooling. We expect these kits to arrive
to us by Wednesday July 2nd.
The Revell 1969 Nova includes two building versions stock and drag. The kit features an authentic 350 c.i. engine
with optional dual carb 4 barrel set up and tubular headers for the drag version. The kit also includes two sets of
wheels factory stock
rally wheels or drag wheels with rear slicks. To build the drag version, the kit has an optional racing hood
reminiscent of a low profile Ram Air hood that extends back to the windshield. To complete the drag racing
version, the kit has both roll bars and traction bars as well as a large colorful period correct decal sheet.
Factory stock builders will be impressed with the details. For example, the door handles and windshield wipers are
separate pieces. The big decal mentioned above includes all the factory stock details one would expect including key
engine markings. Molded crisply in white, chrome and clear from pristine new tooling, you will not want to miss this
first issue of an automotive legend. Our friend Don Banes, a modeler of over 40 years who has helped with this review,
says this kit is one of the finest Revell, or, for that matter, anyone has ever created.
Please find ordering information on all these new kits now in our Coming Soon
Gallery.
May 21, 2008: Three hot AMT Reissues from Stevens and Dirt Track Racing

The perfect complement to the Mack Cruise Liner issued last month is the Mack R-685 released this month.
The kit includes over 250 superdetailed parts from official manufacturer's specifications. She features the
Maxidyne ENDT-675 Six Cylinder Turbocharged Diesel Engine and Maxitorque TRL 1078 Five-Speed Transmission.
The kit also features an optional roof mounted air deflector, CB radio with twin antennas, and a functional tilt
front hood/fender unit. Mack R models tend to sell out quickly, so please order now to avoid disappointment.
We just received our allotment of Mack R's and we are shipping pre-orders now. We still have some unreserved inventory, so
new orders are welcome now.
We also just received Dirt Track Racecars Limited reissues of the
Gremlin Modified stocker with Tobias Chassis and the Pinto Modified Stocker with the Asphalt Chassis.

races. Check out all three of these new kits now in our AMT Gallery

May 19, 2008: New Kits from Lindberg: '72 Challenger, '71 Mustang, '97 Ford F-150, Roswell UFO

Hi folks. This week, we have received five new plastic kits from Lindberg including the
1972 Dodge Challenger, 1971 Mustang, 1997 Ford F-150 Flairside Pickup, American LaFrance Pumper, and
Roswell UFO. Some of you will be happy to hear that the Roswell UFO is actually made in the USA!
Be sure to check out all these new kits now in the Lindberg Gallery

May 2, 2008: All new Revell 1968 Charger, Audi R8, Lindberg 1/25 scale Tall T

Hi Folks, we have received three important kits this week including the all new Revell 1968 Dodge Charger, the
all new Revell Audi R8, and the new Lindberg 1/25 scale Tall T.
With the introduction of the newly designed Charger body for 1968, Dodge had an instant winner. The 1968 Charger
was the first year of a new body design that was referred to the "Coca Cola" body style. The curvy body had
dual scallops on the doors and hood to help accent all its swoopy lines, giving it equal suitability for street
performance and drag racing. This all new 1/25 kit includes optional Dodge 440 c.i. or 426 Hemi plus a seperate engine stand.
The detailed interior and chassis include options to build either a stock muscle car or a vintage drag racer. Finally, the
kit includes authentic stock detailing decals or competition graphics.

The Audi R8 2 door sport coupe has bodywork completely made of aluminum with a 420 hp mid-mounted engine. The
Audi R8 was introduced in 2006 and is the first sports car to be brought to market as a road going production car
with a mid-mounted engine. This kit features an opening rear hatch with mid-mounted engine, detailed interior
and chassis with positional front tires, and decals with authentic markings.

This week, we also have the much anticipated 1/25 Tall 'T' from Lindberg. This new kit with detailed chassis, chrome
parts, detailed engine, detailed interior and vinyl tires is sure to please vintage Blue Oval enthusiasts. Our
knowledgable sources on Model 'T's call the Tall 'T' body a fraction small, but nonetheless imminently usable for
hot rod and racing projects.

The 1987 Mercedes Sauber C9 was developed as part of a joint venture in which Mercedes-Benz supplied the
engines and the racing car designer Peter Sauber the body. The racing car's monocoque was made of
aluminium. The 5 litre V-8 engine (M 119) with a delivery of 900 hp was based on series engines to
which two turbo chargers were added. The C9, capable of almost 400 kmph, celebrated its debut in
1987 in the 4th race of the WSPC in Silverstone. Throughout the season it completed a number of
races as the fastest car, in Le Mans it recorded the fastest lap. As a result, the C9, with which
Mercedes again participated in sports car racing from 1989 onwards, demonstrated what potential it
had also for the years ahead.
The kit features realistic bodywork molded from the finest high-impact styrene plastic
true-to-the-original body of the C9 with fine surface structure details, bucket seats with authentic
interior and dashboard, moveable wheels with authentic tires and rims, multi-part rear spoiler with
separate filigree mouting bracket, Decals for the two sports car races as well as for Le Mans (1997
season), and an illustrated assembly guide.
The 1984 Porsche 962 was created in the prime of its predecessor, the very successful Porsche 956, to
comply with the new IMSA rules that came out in 1983. The USA was an important market for Porsche,
so work on the new sports car had already begun in October 1983. In the Porsche 962 the front axle
was moved forward a few centimetres to meet IMSA requirements. Otherwise the 962 differed little
from its predecessor. The 962 was used in both the USA and in Europe, where it was suitably equipped
for Group C and was given the letter C. The Porsche 962 and 962 C were two of the most successful
racing cars in history, offering according to equipment, 640 to 680 bhp and a speed of 380 km/h.
Similar to the Mercedes, the Porshe features realistic bodywork molded from the finest high-impact
styrene plastic true-to-original body with
fine surface details, body-contoured seat, authentic interior and dashboard, multi-part rear spoiler
with separate wire supports, authentic tires and wheel rims, decals for the 1986 long-distance race
at Monza, and an illustrated assembly guide. Please find ordering information for
both of these kits now in the
Revell of Germany Gallery.
April 19th, 2008: Model King Racer's Wedge and Open Road Camper, Duke's 'General Lee' in 1/25 Diecast, Three New
Kits from Revell.

Hi folks: Get these while you can! This is an encore edtion of the Model King Parts pack which includes both the
Racer's Wedge and the Open Road Camper. We will begin shipping pre-orders this week and we have some stock available
for new orders. Model King tells me he has already sold out, so we will not get more once we sell the ones we have.
Only 2500 were produced. For those of you that remember the last box, this box is enhanced and has the top you see
in the banner above. Here is a closeup of the Wedge:

And, here is a cutaway view of the Open Road Camper. These are intended for advanced modelers to install on their
favorite pickups. The AMT 1972 Chevy Fleetside is not a bad place to start.

This week, we also received a new 1/25 diecast model of the 1969 Charger RT 'General Lee' from the Dukes of Hazzard.
I wish more 1/25 scale die casts like this would be released. What a great size and so easy to display! Ordering
details are in our AMT Gallery.
Here are a couple of pictures:

Finally, we have three new kits from Revell including a new 1/24 'Baldwin Motion' Chevelle, a 1/25 Subaru WRX STi,
and a special edition of the Hummer H2. The collaboration of Baldwin Chevrolet and Motion Performance produced some
of the most powerful Chevy muscle cars to ever hit the streets. Motion would add wild hood scoops, side pipes and more
horsepower making the standard run of the mill SS454 Chevelle look like the neighborhood weaking. Though the new
incompetent owners of Revell managed to put the wrong scale (1/25) on the box, the kit seems credible with a Phase III
L-88 style hood and chrome mounted side exhausts. Powered by the familiar big block LS-6 454 and including colorful
authentic Baldwin Motion Graphic decal, modelers can create a good looking, 'well muscled' Chevelle. Next, the Subaru
WRX STi is the highest standard automotive trim in the line. The STi version of the Subaru is a high performance all
wheel drive car with a turbocharged flat-4 Engine. The Subaru World Rally Team has used a race perpared version of the
WRX STi as its racing platform since the STi models creation. This kit includes an opening hood with detailed engine,
full interior, three sets of wheels, and stock or custom spoiler. Rounding our Revell's hat trick, we have a special
edition of the Hummer H2. This (2 'n 1) features an opening rear hatch, stereo equipment, and seperate roof rack.
The kit also offers suspension options for large diameter custom wheels with low profile tires or stock wheels and
tires. You may see all these kits and find ordering information in the Revell Gallery.

out Dirtrack Race Cars nostalgic reissue of the AMT 1932 Ford 5-window Coupe in the original box from 1960.

March 8, 2008: Revell Mustang Mach I, Revell Slot Cars, New kits Annouced
The 1970 Mustang Mach I was a performance model that Ford introduced in 1969. This new chassis allowed
for larger engines than previous generations. The Mach I has a fastback sportsroof body with several visual and
performance based items such as flat black hood with a scoop that had integrated turn signal lights mounted in the
back, optional spoilers, exterior hood latches, chrome gas cap, recessed taillights on a black honeycomb rear
panel plus side and rear badging. For this kit, Revell has added an optional 351
cubic inch Cleveland Engine with four barrel carb as an alternate to the old Boss 302.
Revell also gives you the option of five bolt simulated
alloy or Mangum 500 wheels. All in all, Revell includes all the goodies to produce a respectable Mach I in 1/24 scale.

PLEASE NOTE THESE SLOT CARS WERE VERY LIMITED AND ARE ALREADY SOLD OUT
This week we also received the latest Revell Slot Cars. These are beautiful. Replicating
vintage '60's Fords driven by Ned Jarrett and Fireball Roberts, our pictures just do not do
justice to the deep glossy paint jobs and authentic look of these 1/32 scale beauties. Be sure to visit the
Revell Gallery for more detail pictures and ordering information.

Please stop by our Coming Soon Gallery for pre-order information on a number of kits
coming in the first half of 2008. We have big rig trucks, classic Race Cars, and factory stock jewels.
Thanks for stopping by!

March 7, 2008: Auto World Signs Licensing Agreement with AMT
Hi folks: This is good news! We have reprinted the entire text of the press release below for you.
We view this as very positive news. Tom Lowe is one of the great visionaries in the retro model kit world.
He is famous for revitalizing the Johnny Lightning Brand and for creating Polar Lights, a company that produced
some of the most sought after model kits in the last decade. (Tom has also been a customer of Model Roundup)
We fully intend to stock every kit that comes out of this licensing agreement. Furthermore, we will post
any news we hear about Auto World/AMT kit plans here and in our email briefings. If you want to be kept up to
date on what is happening in our hobby, be sure to use the handy link on the left side bar to subscribe.
Here's the complete text of the official Auto World press release:
Auto World licenses tooling for AMT, MPC & Polar Lights model kits,
American Muscle/ Ertl Collectibles die-cast
March 7, 2008 South Bend, IN
Auto World (a division of Round 2, LLC) has signed a licensing agreement with RC2/Learning Curve
Brands, Inc. of Oak Brook, Illinois. The contract will allow Auto World to produce and market plastic model kits
under the well-known brands of AMT, MPC and Polar Lights. Also included are the rights to manufacture 1:18 and 1:24
scale die-cast replicas using the trademarks of American Muscle and Ertl Collectibles. In addition, Auto World will
now be handling production of Custom and Premium promotional die-cast vehicles for RC2's current C&P customer base,
with sales continuing through established representatives.
Thomas E. Lowe, President and Owner of Round 2, is now assembling a team of knowledgeable plastic model and die-cast
specialists who are excited about this license opportunity and passionate about reintroducing these brands to their
respective communities. Lowe states, Our goal is to bring back many sought after vintage kits of all types from the
AMT and MPC tooling banks, some that haven't been available for decades. We've recruited model kit expert and creative
designer John Greczula from Retro Hobby, Inc. to work with us. The American Muscle tooling bank has great potential,
too, and Craig Flickinger, who was the Product Manager for American Muscle for several years, is on board to ensure
that collectors are kept as priority one. Using our own production facilities, we will have the capability to adjust
quantities of the model and die cast lines to satisfy market demand. We will not rely solely on old tooling, but will
develop new tools as well.
Further, Lowe states, 2008 is going to be a roller coaster ride for us as we prepare our game plan and get things
moving. There is an incredible amount of information to be absorbed and organization that must take place. We
understand the modeling and die-cast markets have changed and that several large mass-retail chains are beginning
to turn their backs on stocking these products. We will try and slow that down by introducing new and innovative
products, hopefully enticing them to support our brands. I learned a lot when I ran my previous company,
Playing Mantis, and I intend to use all of my knowledge and contacts to the maximum.
For me, it's an opportunity of a lifetime.
Tom Lowe and RC2 Brands, Inc. are no strangers to each other. Lowe, an entrepreneur known for his expertise in
collectible automotive subject matter, sold his first company, Playing Mantis, Inc. to RC2 in 2004. Lowe founded
Playing Mantis in 1994 and resurrected the classic Johnny Lightning brand, producing small-scale die-cast replicas
and electric slot cars catering to the adult collector. Enthusiastic response resulted in phenomenal growth of the
brand, and spurred Lowe to venture into other areas, including Polar Lights plastic model kits and Memory Lane
seasonal product.
Round 2 was established by Lowe in 2005 and reintroduced electric slot cars under the Auto World brand, an iconic
hobby catalog trademark which Lowe purchased from Auto World's founder, Oscar Koveleski.
Round 2 is an innovative collectibles company located in South Bend, Indiana. Its family of brands includes Auto World, currently featuring X-Traction, ThunderJet and Super III 1:64 scale electric slot racers and racing sets; Forever Fun Holiday Collectibles, featuring detailed recreations of favorite holiday characters and EarthGlow Candles, featuring unique licensed candles and candle toppers. Round 2 is proud to add AMT, MPC and Polar Lights model kits, American Muscle and Ertl Collectibles die-cast to its portfolio of brands.

January 19 2008: Model King 1975 Nascar Laguna
Many of you may recall the last issue of this MPC Laguna tooling in the now rare Hawaian Tropic Cannonball Run kit in
1981. The kit was originally issued once before Cannonball as the #39 Pepsi Laguna in 1975. Now, thanks to the hero of
the model kit world, Model King Dave, we have this great kit again in limited production at affordable prices.
The kit is a straight reissue of the MPC kit with phantom decals that are representative of the period. This kit
is one of 5000 and detailed ordering information is available now in AMT Gallery.
We have already started shipping the pre-orders including this kit and new orders are welcome.
We understand the Model King/MPC Nascar 1971 Monte Carlo will be available in the April-May time frame.

January 12 2008: Model King 1998 Olds Pro Stock, Revell 1932 Ford Sedan Detailed Review
Hi folks. Check out the latest from Model King, Your Mother's Oldsmobile - the Chill factor!
Is Model King some kind of God? The perfect companion to
the Firebird Pro-Stock released a few months back, the new Model King box art says it all. These Olds kits have arrived
and we are shipping now.

(Model Above built by Steve Goldman. Decal artwork and design by Steven Allemand, David Curry and Ron Kness. Please
note this is a special effects cutaway view presented to see an actual built engine, chassis and interior. The actual
model kit body is molded in an opague white. "Chill factor" decals are included.)
As promised in an earlier blog, we will present below a detailed review of Revell's fabulous new
1932 Ford Sedan by our friend Don Banes, a modeler of over 40 years with a particular love and detailed knowledge of
the classic Deuce and the kits which have represented it. Also, this week, we present retro-reissues
of the 1927 Ford Model T Vintage Police Car, and the always popular Monogram 1937 Ford 'Fat Fendered' Sedan Street Rod. Check out all the goodies that come
with the police car in the second picture below.

Finally, please note that we are currently shipping the largest volume of orders in our history. With the demise
of Hobby Heaven and the unprecedented number of exciting new releases hitting the street at the same time,
we are pushing the limits of what we can do. Shipping lag times from order date to dispatch are now in the one week
range as opposed to the one day range which many of our longer term customers are used to. We have extended our
warehouse hours and added personnel to meet the challange but slight delays will linger for awhile.
To our international customers, we also assure you, we plan to get caught up with the customs processing on your
orders and ship our overseas backlog within the next two weeks.
We do thank you all for your patience and continued support through this "golden age" of modeling.
Please stay tuned below for Don Banes detailed review of the new Revell 1932 Ford Sedan:

The Revell 1932 Tudor Sedan by Don Banes
Has it been ten years since Revell first introduced their best selling line of 32 Ford kits? Up until that time,
there was no credible modern level kit of the 1932 Ford Three-Window Coupe. Initially in 1996 and 1997,
Revell gave us three versions including the Three-Window, the Roadster and the Highboy. Many of us wondered if
a fourth version would be in the offing. That question has been asked and answered well with the introduction of
the 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan.
The newly tooled sedan body looks to be accurate with a relief molded fabric roof insert and tiny indentations
for the 'stock-look' cowl lights. Inside, a completely new interior has been fashioned with vertical pleats on
the front bucket and rear bench seats. In addition to the custom dashboard from the earlier versions, a new optional
dashboard eliminates the air conditioning vents found in the earlier three versions.
Now, let's talk engines. Somebody at Revell really likes their Flatheads as they have tooled up a brand new one here
for this kit. More representative of a state of the art 48 Ford/48 Merc mill, this new flathead features three deuces,
headers, a beehive oil filter and a Ford C-4 transmission backing it all up. (This transmission implementation is
a fairly common flathead transmission upgrade in the 1:1 street rod community.) To accommodate the four flathead
water hoses, Revell tooled up a new radiator, and, finally, a new front frame insert mounts the new engine in place.
In addition, to this all-new 'modern' flathead, Revell has kept the 5.0 litre V-8 and modern suspension set-up
which so accurately represent 'state of the art' for more contemporary street rod themes. As Tim Boyd mentioned in
his review in Model Cars (# 128), it seems that wherever the Revell design team had a chance to cut corners,
they did the opposite.
Let's move on to the wheels. Who among us does not savor a brand new set of wheels? Again, Revell does not
disappoint with a brand new set of Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. Also included are the most delicately molded
American Five Spokes I've ever seen. The Spoke wheels are on the chrome tree, but they will strip easily enough
for the purist. The center caps are integral with the rim, but can be easily foiled if you choose to strip the
plating and paint the wheels.
For those of you familiar with the earlier related modern Revell '32 Ford kits, you will find many carryovers.
Both full fendered and highboy parts are there. There are two sets of hood sides, three taillight choices, and
two upper gas tank covers. The kit is crisply molded in white, transparent red and clear with chrome plated parts
and vinyl tires. If you are any kind of a Deuce fan at all, you will want to buy multiples of this kit.
(I bought five, so far.) Furthermore, it you want to see other 32 body styles in kit form like a Sedan Delivery or
Five Window Coupe, write Revell and tell them so! If you write Revell, be sure to express your gratitude for this
magnificent family of '32 Fords which they have produced thus far.
(Contact information for Revell can be found at www.revell.com)

January 7 2008: Revell 1950 Ford F-1 pickup stock or custom

Featuring a Flathead V-8, the Ford F series pickups started out as simple trucks
used to haul feed and hay on the farm, or tools on the construction site. These haulers became
popular with customizers as time went by, and they are now some of the hottest rides on the street.
With all new Ardun Heads (not available in original kit), this kit comes with optional custom wheels and low profile tires. It also includes custom wooden
pickup bed and dual exhausts. This kit was a finalist for kit of the year honors with its introduction in
1997. This is the first reissue and can be built stock or custom. Molded in white in 1/25 scale,
the kit is highly recommended.
December 28, 2007: Model King/MPC 1969 GTO Judge Funny Car

We have just received the Model King 1969 GTO Judge. Some of you may remember that AMT announced this as a regular
kit in 2007. Without notice AMT cancelled the kit which disappointed many of us. I called one of my contacts at
Learning Curve Brands, owner of the AMT tooling, to find out what the problem was. I was told that the tooling needed
some repair and that Learning Curve was unwilling to invest. I immediately asked for an option on the kit as well as
test shots and estimates of repair costs. I also contacted Model King as we have worked together closely on all of
his private run kits. As he has done with so many of these wonderful reissues, he invested his own money in the
repairs and now offers the kit to the hobby. Of course, the price is a little higher with the repair cost, but better
than paying $200.00 for an original on eBay. Many of you had pre-ordered the original AMT Judge which we expected to
be released in the $12.00 range. Since the price is higher on this private reissue,
we are not automatically substituting, and you will need to order this Judge with this part number even if you
ordered the AMT version which was not released. Let's take a peek at the side panel of the box.

Here's a list of features: Blown and Injected 455 ci Pontiac Engine, Authentic '69 GTO body flips up to display detailed
tube chassis, The Judge logos and striping in all colors, Lightweight mag wheels and narrow front tires, Wild Tube
headers, Slotted rear mags and Racemaster Slicks, Wheelie bars, Parachute pack, and Optional spoiler. Get 'em while you
can! Happy New Year Y'all - Model Roundup
December 20, 2007: Model King/AMT 1964 Ford Galaxie - Stock

We have just received the Model King 1964 Galaxie in stock version. Many of you know this kit as a Craftsman
style promo kit that does not include a detailed engine. Of course, a detailed engine chassis set up can
easily be donated from the AMT 1963 Galaxie. For more pictures and detailed ordering information, please
visit the AMT Gallery.
December 14, 2007: Model King/AMT 1959 Imperial Hardtop or Convertible

Check out the encore limited reissue of the Model King 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop or Convertible. As
many of you know, this is a straight reissue from the original SMP/AMT annual kit in 1959. This kit does
not include a detailed engine which was standard in 1959. The first one sold out quickly, so don't miss
this one with the much improved retro-vintage box art.
December 13, 2007: Model King/MPC 1957 Flip Nose Sedan Gasser

Originally issued in 1975, the MPC Spirit of '57 Gasser with the flip front end has been a modeler's favorite for
30 years. The kit has been commanding premium collector prices demonstrating its desirability. Once again,
Dave, the Model King, brings more gold out of the vintage tooling with this latest reissue. Powered by a blown
Chevy V-8, the kit features a special Gasser chassis, racing wheels, wide racing slicks, and custom racing interior.
Get these now while you can as production was limited to 5000 pieces. Pre-orders including this kit will be shipping
over the next week. New orders are welcome.
More pictures and ordering information are available now in the
AMT Gallery.
As you can imagine, we are very busy trying to get Christmas 'rush' orders out

vintage private production reissue features the much sought after detailed Allison Engine. True to the original,
the kit also has a clear hood and other options you see pictured here from the original kit. Production was

While your there, don't miss Dirt Track Racings straight reissue of the famous MPC 1932 Ford 'Switchers' Sedan.
This kit features multiple building options which can also be switched out, therefore, it was given
the name 'Switchers'.
December 1, 2007: Revell 1958 Chevy, Model King/AMT 1964 Galaxie Modified Stocker

Following up on the wildly popular 1957 Chevy, 1958 was a year of firsts for the Chevrolet full-size car line.
It was the first appearance of dual headlamps and for the new larger V8 engine, the 348. It was also the first
time the public saw the nameplate for the new top-line model that would adorn the Chevrolet for many years to come:
Impala. Adding further proof that a good design is timeless, the 1958 Impala remains a staple vehicle for the
lowrider crowd.

This kit, from all new tooling, has parts for both stock and lowrider versions. Molded crisply in white, the kit
features opening hood and trunk, authentic 348 V8 engine with Tri-Power, optional fender skirts and continental kit.
The kit includes both stock wheels with period correct white walls, or large diameter rims with low profile tires.
With over 143 pieces including all seperate chrome trim, the kit also has colorful decals to augment the stock or
custom versions. Folks, if you liked the new Revell 1949 chopped Mercury, you are going to love this '58 Impala.
Please be sure to check out additional pictures in the
Revell Gallery. While you are there, be sure not to miss the 1930 Woody Street Rod Reissue, as well as
another funky caricature kit from Dave Deals, Spitsfire.

Arriving from Model King today we have the private production reissue of the 1964 Ford Modified Stocker. This kit
features the Ford 427 Wedge Engine, Super-Wide Goodyear Vinyl Slicks, Reinforced Racing Wheels, Front and Rear
Bumper Braces, Side Braces, Grille Guard, and even a tow bar. Pre-orders will begin shipping next week and new
orders are welcome now.
Also arriving next week is the Model King private production 1956 Ford, 'Strip Fowl', (3 'n 1).
This is one of the few AMT kits that remained virtually unmolested from it's debut in the Trophy Series some 42 years
ago. As most of you know this kit has a wide variety of building options from the classy Victoria with glass top,
through the many customs options, all the way to the Strip Fowl Dragster. We anticipate these arriving within the
next week and will begin shipping these on or around December 12th.

More from Lindberg? We have begun accepting pre-orders for the all new 1/8 scale Lindberg Tall T. We anticipate
beginning to ship
these on around December 15th. If you want this item, please let us know by pre-ordering as we are still planning
our order from Lindberg and need to know your interest level in this kit to plan our order.
Ordering information is available
now in the Coming Soon Gallery.
Finally, we want to welcome Joseph Ledford to our staff. With all the new kits and all of our
new customers from Hobby Heaven, we had to add personnel to maintain the service levels you are accustomed to.
Joseph is helping us with order processing and will also be fielding some of your telephone orders. Well, I think
that about does it for this week. We wish you all a joyous Holiday Season.

November 17, 2007: Infini T, Stingaree, LA Dart, 1974 Challenger Funny Car, 1971 Cyclone

Guess who called Model King when AMT reissued the Hemi Hunter Dart? It was none other than Bill Shrewsberry
himself. 'Why can't we do the LA Dart again?', he asked. Model King was quick to accommodate this drag racing legend
and now we have the Bill Shrewsberry approved LA DART! Packed in the original box with enhanced decals including the
stripes designed by Sean Svendsen and authenticated by Bill Shrewsberry,
you no longer have to chase these on eBay for a couple of hundred bucks. Once again, Model King hits a homerun
for the hobby. And, speaking of homeruns, we will begin shipping the 1974 Challenger Funny Cars and 1971 Nascar
Cyclones next week. Please note we have hundreds of pre-orders which we will work through as fast as we can.
Finally, be sure to check out Autoworld's private production reissue of the Infini-T and
Stingaree also shipping next week. More pictures and ordering information on all of these exciting Fall kits
are available now in the
AMT Gallery.

November 7, 2007: Web Site back up, '53 Ford Pickup and Race Hauler Lindberg/Testors 2007 Superbee
For those of you who did not notice, our web site was unavailable for a couple of days due to a data center move. We are happy to report that the site is now 100 percent restored on new modern servers and
as of this writing, the secure ordering system is up and running.

Please note the AMT straight reissue of the 1953 Ford Pickup Dirt Track Race Team has
arrived and will begin shipping this week. Larry from Dirt Track Race Cars went through an original kit and did
a one for one parts mapping, and this gem is 100% right down to the original box. The '53 Ford Pickup is loaded
with all the original custom parts, options and accessories. Remember the old acetylene tanks that came with early
versions of this kit? They are restored here. The Race trailer is a great little dual axle affair, appropriate for racecar hauling,
and it includes the optional tire rack which you see in the picture. Just imagine your best vintage racecar riding
on this rig. Please remember this was a private low production kit, so it will not be available at the mass merchandisers.
Production was limited to 5,000 pieces.
Also arriving this week is the Lindberg 2007 Super Bee. Apparently borrowed from the Testors Charger Tooling,
this little jewel has all the great features of the Testors kits at about 2/3 the price. These kits feature a detailed
SRT-8 Engine, chassis
with complete suspension, chrome plated parts, real vinyl/rubber tires, authentic interior and, of course, the classic
Super Bee decals. Check out more details on both of these new kits in their respective Gallerys by clicking on their
images. Thanks for stopping by!

October 27, 2007: 1/8 scale Big Deuce, November Model King Kits

When it comes to vintage tin, it's hard to beat the popularity of the early Fords. The Big'Deuce' in huge 1/8 scale
is definitely at the top of the list among dedicated street rodders. The clean body lines, flowing fenders and famed
1932 Ford radiator add up to a style that steals the scene at any show, race or rod-run. And now, the '32 Ford is
celebrating its 75th anniversary. If ever a car was timeless and adaptable to any new trend, it is truly the
classic 1932 Ford Deuce. Revell's (3 'n 1) version contains parts for the original custom Big Deuce, the '32 High Boy
and the '32 Roadster with fenders. Revell's enhanced Big Deuce has arrived!
Also arriving are the all new Revell 1955 Chevys and the Caricature Deals' Wheels 1957 Chevys.
These kits may viewed now in the
Revell Gallery

We have also posted several new Model King kits with anticipated arrival in November to the
Coming Soon Gallery. We will be posting Model King December and January kits soon. Stay tuned!
(Please note our web site may be periodically unavailable:
Friday November 2, 2007 from 10 PM ET to Saturday November 3, 2007 12 PM (noon) ET for scheduled maintenance)
October 5, 2007: Rattle Trap Camaro has arrived

September 29, 2007: Rattle Trap Camaro, Revell AAR Cuda, 5 new kits from Lindberg, 2 new kits from Dirttrack Racing, New
Vintage Nascar Gallery

This week we received several items including the retooled Revell AAR Cuda & five new kits from Lindberg. We are also
excited about the arrival of the Model King Rattle Trap Camaro Funny Car. Speaking of
excitement, read on to find out about two new vintage AMT/MPC reissue kits from Dirtrack Racing coming in the next
two months. Finally, we are happy to finally launch our new Vintage Nascar Gallery. Vintage Nascar is a favorite
around here, and we are pleased to begin presenting a host of new products from Yesterday's decals and Plastic
Performance Parts.

Lindberg released 5 new kits this week including the all new highly detailed skill level 3 Dodge Monster trucks.
Modeler's are already talking about the authentic detail level on the Raminator and Rammuntion Monster Trucks.
Lindberg achieved this high level of authenticity by working closely with Mark Hall's (Raminator Driver) Racing Team
on the project. If you visit the Lindberg
Gallery and click on the thumbnail picture of the Rammunition, you will see a body off view of the kit.
While in the Lindberg Gallery, be sure to check out the 1/8 scale reissues of the Big Red Rod and Exterminator.

Next we have two new kits from Dirtrack Racing. First up is the Dirttrack Hauler. Last produced in 1967 as AMT kit
# T-390, this straight reissued vintage jewel includes 2 complete kits including a 1953 Ford
Pickup F-100 tow vehicle and a dual axle race car tow trailer. The Ford pickup features opening hood and tailgate and
two complete engines with your choice of detailed Ford Flat head V8 engine or Dodge Desoto Firedome fuel injected
Hemi V8. The Pickup also features stock or custom building options with many custom optional accessories including
bed cover, custom grill and bumpers, American mag wheels, custom rear fenders, side pipes, service tools, jack,
welding tanks and more! The race car trailer features dual axles, rear loading ramps and optional front tire rack
with extra racing slicks. Sporting classic original box art from the 1967 kit, this kit provides the perfect
hauling team for any of your vintage Fords, Chevys, Dodges, Buicks, Olds or Pontiacs. While designed for hauling
circle track cars, the combo works equally well for drag race teams and wild custom show cars.
The kit is molded in white plastic for easy painting. Complete ordering information is available now in the
Coming Soon Gallery. While you are there, check out the second kit coming from
Dirttrack this Fall, the MPC 1932 Ford 'Switchers' Sedan or Phaeton. Sporting two complete bodies and about a dozen
building versions, this kit has always been a modeler's favorite. Pre-orders are welcome now and you can
look for the kits in November.

Finally, we are excited to let you preview our new Vintage Nascar Gallery. We will be adding new products over the
next few weeks, but we wanted to let you have a peak at some of the decals available now for the Model King
Torinos, Cyclones and Lagunas. The Terminal Transport Decal you see featured in the picture here will work perfectly
with the Model King Cyclone coming soon. We have added a permanant link to the Vintage Nascar Gallery
on the left side bar of all major pages. The Gallery does not include all decals and we suggest you also
use the Parts and Accessories link to see all decals. You may access the
Vintage Nascar Gallery here now.
Thanks for stopping by!
September 15, 2007: Revell 1937 Ford Coupe, 1966 El Camino, and 2007 Home Depot Monte Carlo

Revell released three new kits this week including the 1937 Ford Coupe Street Rod, 1966 El Camino (2 'n 1) stock or
custom lowrider, and the 2007 Tony Stewart Home Depot Monte Carlo. The first two kits are pretty much straight
reissues of earlier Revell kits. The Monte Carlo is updated for 2007 with a new style racing seat and safety net.
For more pictures and complete orering information, please visit the Revell Gallery.
Many of you have been hearing rumors about a new Revell 1932 Ford Sedan. We have been advised that a '32 Ford
Sedan is in the works and will not be released until 2008. The official annoucement will come at the Fall Hobby
Show in Chicago. We will have pictures and begin accepting pre-orders as soon as Revell announces the kit
this Fall. Thanks for stopping by.

September 1, 2007: Model King 1970 Wildcat and 1969 Camaro Funny Car

Rare kit officienados will be familiar with the classic and collectable AMT Motor City Series from 1970. Perhaps, the
most memorable of the 1970 Detroit Big Iron Series was the closed headlight Ford LTD 4 door hardtop, a car that Ford
never actually produced in 1970. Other cars in the series included the 1970 Thunderbird, 1970 Torino Hardtop and the
1970 Buick Wildcat. Of that tooling, Model King was able to find, salvage and repair the Wildcat. While these Detroit
land yachts are not for everyone, many of us who grew up around these big cars love them dearly. Modelers should note
that this kit does not include a detailed engine. It does include a tiny 'bottom view faux' engine chassis insert. But,
guess what will also fit in the chassis hole? A detailed engine! Adding your favorite engine to this Cat should be a
fairly easy project for the modeler with moderate alteration skills. The kit comes very bare bones stock and is molded
crisply in white styrene. More pictures and ordering information are available in the
AMT Gallery. While you are there be sure to preview the new 1969 Camaro Funny Car due at the end of September.
August 15, 2007: Revell 1949 Mercury Chopped Custom and Ford 427 Wedge Engine

Already playing to rave reviews, the most anticipated all new kit for 2007, the 1949 Mercury Custom Coupe, has ARRIVED!
This model is the builder's dream and is reminiscent of the great kits of the 1960's with all the custom parts and
options. The kit includes 3 grille styles, 2 sets of wheels, 2 hoods, 2 sets of skirts, spotlights, lake pipes, and
2 custom taillights. Builders can profile this lead-sled with Custom Sombrero wheels and white walls, or they can
use the reverse chrome wheels with the blackwall radials as pictured above. The kit is molded in white and has all the crispness one
would expect for the first kits out of brand new tooling. Already carrying the highest recommendations from
knowledgable reviewers, we suggest you get these Mercs while you can at our special introductory price of
$13.90 each. (Suggested retail is $17.95) Complete ordering information is available now in the
Revell Gallery. While you are there, be sure not to miss the new Ford 427 Wedge Engine
that was also released this week.

August 9, 2007: Lindberg Dodge L-700 with 1940 Ford and Flatbed Trailer

Originally issued by IMC in the 1960's and again by Testors in the 1970's, the only place one could
find the Dodge L-700 Tractor with Trailer was from a rare kit dealer or online auction. The last one we
had was in the 1990's, and it went for $95.00 way back then. Now, we can all afford to enjoy this latest
reissue from Lindberg. Much to our surprise the kit includes the 1940 Ford Coupe which you can build
showroom stock, or as a weathered beater as pictured above. This 1/25 kit is molded in neutral grey with
chrome and clear parts. Decals are also included to build the version you see above.
Many of you pre-ordered the Lindberg 73067
which is just the Tilt Cab by itself for $17.90. You are welcome
to email us if you would like to change your order to this version, or have us ship one of these now
and the Tractor by itself when it is released in a couple of months.
Finally, you may want to note that the Revell 1949 chopped Mercurys
should be here next week. Be sure to get your preorders in now. You can view the Revell Mercs now
in the Coming Soon Gallery. Thanks for stopping by!
July 21, 2007: 1972 Gran Torino Oval Track Racecar!

Originally Issued in 1972 by MPC as the 'Sta-Power' Bobby Issac # 15, the '72 Gran Torino was
part of MPC's now famed early Nascar Series.

Featuring an authentic detailed Ford 351 racing motor, with stock car chassis and interior including
trunk detail, one can see why this kit has been so popular through the years. While we were under the impression
that this tooling was also used in the AMT and Johan versions, Dave Van, who worked with Model King in producing
this reissue, tells us that modelers who know the intricacies of both kits should be aware that this is the MPC
version
We also now have our first previews of Revell's flagship 1949 Mercury chopped custom in our
Coming Soon Gallery. While you are there, be sure to check out the Lindberg Dodge L-700 which is also
due in August.
Finally, just in time for Summer, please be sure to check out the newly reissued Hawk Silly Surfers. Located in
the Other Manufacurer's Gallery, these are sure to bring back some memories.
Thanks for stopping by!
July 7, 2007: 1965 Chevelle, 1941 Chevy Pickup, 1948 Ford Convertible and more!

Hi folks: we have added seven brand new kits to our Revell Gallery. These include the 1965 Chevelle SS 396 Z-16
(2 'n 1 stock or custom), the 1948 Ford Convertible (2 'n 1 stock or custom), The 1941 Chevy Pickup
(2 'n 1 stock or custom), the huge 1/12 scale 50th Anniversary 1957 Chevy (3 'n 1 stock, custom, drag), the
custom only Chrysler 300C Hemi SRT 8, the 1969 Ford Talladeda, and the sleek 1991 Pontiac Firebird. You may want to
note that of these seven kits, the 1/12 scale 1957 Chevy is in very limited production and could become scarce. We are
featuring a picture of the drag version here, but be sure to click over to the Revell Gallery
for pictures of the stock and custom versions. We only have 30 of these '57's and they will be sold on a first
come, first serve basis after the pre-orders are filled. While in the Revell Gallery, you will find pictures and ordering
information for each of these new items.

Some of you have heard about the Hobbico acquisition of Revell-Monogram and Revell-Germany. Hobbico owns several
large Hobby Related Distributors and Manufacturers. At this time, they plan to leave the current management
and product planners at Revell in place and continue with Revell's product plans for 2007. As a result of the
acquisition and streamling of Distribution, Revell kits have gone through a slight price increase. However, we
are still able to maintain pricing well below suggested retail and will continue to do what we can to keep prices
as low as possible. Please note with all the new releases and the July 4th Holiday, we are running a couple of
days behind in processing and shipping orders. We anticipate having all pre-orders shipped by the end of next week.
Thanks for stopping by!
June 29, 2007: Hemi Hunter
Hi friends, please note that the vintage rear engine Hemihunters are available to
order now. Pre-orders containing these kits will begin shipping this week. Once again, AMT's project managers
have selected dubious box art for the actual kits. The vintage box art we present is more accurate to what
the actual kit contains.
June 21, 2007: Lindberg Little Red Wagon

The Famous Lindberg Little Red Wagon can be built one of 2 ways, as a drag racing wheelstander, or stock.
The kit features opening hinged doors and 2 fully detailed engine choices, a Dodge 273 Cubic Inch V-8 or blown
426 Hemi. While you visit the Lindberg Gallery, be sure to check out the new 1966 Chevelle and the 1961
Impala Convertibles. We also have put up pictures of all the new Lindberg Crown Vic Police Cars.
In the meantime, please do visit our Lindberg Gallery for more pictures and ordering
information.

June 11, 2007: Model King Georgia Shaker or Daddy Warbucks Thunderbolt

In the Fall of 1963, Ford Motor Co. Dearborn, Mich. introduced the Tbolt. Phil Bonner was on hand that day and
chose a number from a hat selecting the 8th of the first T-bolts built.
Throughout his carreer, Phil primarily match-raced the car at Lions Dragstrip frequently touring the car up and
down the eastern part of the USA.

Hubert Platt picked up his T-bolt number 13 on December 13th of the same year. Due to a severe snow storm,
Hubert could not depart with his new "Little Georgia Shaker" for three days. Hubert told me on his inauguration
into the NHRA Hall of Fame that the T-bolt was always his favorite.
Now, you can build your choice of Phil Bonner's or Hubert Platt's historic cars as decals and picture
documentation for both cars is provided. Ask any modeler who has built the Revell T-bolt and they will
tell you it is one of Revell's best kits ever in terms of detail, ease of building, and authenticity.
More pictures and ordering information are available in the
Revell Gallery.
While you are in the Revell Gallery, be sure not to miss the 1991 Firebird Formula and the 1969 Torino Talledega.
The 1991 Pontiac Firebird is a blend of the evolving Firebird design plus the added excitement of the front end
look from the potent Banshee concept vehicle. This Firebird was the fastest of all the current Pontiac production
cars at that time. The figures are quite impressive, 0 to 60 in 6.7 seconds and ¼ mile in 15.0.
Similarly, in 1969 Ford designed a Torino body with an extended low drag front end. This design was created for
competitive use in automotive sports. The limited edition street version of this special aerodynamic design was
called the Talladega.
May 19, 2007: Model King 1971 Thunderbird (2 'n 1) and Mack DM-600
Featuring seven building versions, the MPC version of the 1960 Corvette
is highly prized on the Collector market. Builders have their choice of creating Stock, Bonneville, Modified,
Wild Custom, Rally, Road Racing, or Drag versions. Please note the box top we use here to feature the kit is
more accurate than the one AMT chose for this reissue. The kit you will receive features a gold stock 1960
Vette on the top. However, when you see the instruction sheet, you will know you are in the right place with
this vintage jewel.

Complimenting the 1960 Vette, we also received the 1981 Bronco reissue. This is a reissue of MPC's 1981
Saddle Tramp Bronco. To their credit, AMT did invest to retool the top and the stock wheels, so we
have a true 2 'n 1 Bronco with top on or top off versions. Be sure to visit our AMT Gallery
for more pictures and all the latest kits from AMT.
May 15, 2007: Model King 1971 Thunderbird (2 'n 1) and Mack DM-600

Two new kits from Model King arrived this week headlined by the slick AMT 1971 Ford Thunderbird (2 'n 1).
This kit has not seen the light of day for 35 years and it will bring back memories for those of you who
were in the hobby in the early 1970's. Be sure to visit the AMT Gallery where
you can see a cool custom built by Flash Designs. This bird features optional side pipes, landau rear window,
vintage mags, and custom headlight covers. Check out some of these pictures of built kits from the box side
panel:

Along those same vintage lines, we have the Mack DM-600 which has always been
a versatile work horse truck in the USA. We are pleased to report that the DM-600 actually came in a little under budget
and our actual sales price is about $3.00 less than the pre-sell price. All preorders for both of these items
will begin shipping this week and, of course, will be billed at the lower current price. Only 3000 Macks were produced,
so if you have not pre-ordered the Mack DM-600, we suggest you do so now to avoid disappointment.
Pictures and ordering information are available now in the AMT Gallery.
Thanks for stopping by!
A Special Note to our Customers outside of the USA The US Postal Service
enacted some significant policy changes on May 24th, 2007. While we believe most of our overseas customers will not
be effected, we do need to mention that surface shipping is no longer offered as a shipping option and size restrictions
will limit how many kits we can ship in one parcel. All parcels will have to
go by air, but we do have access to very economical air rates. Frankly, the service level has been improved
with faster delivery, better package tracking and indemnification protection. Please visit our 'How to
Order' section for more information and access to our rate calculators.
May 1, 2007: 1967 Vette, Dave Deals ZZZZZ-28, 1999 Silverado Pickup

Hot out of the molds, we have just received Revell's popular 1/25 scale 1967 Corvette Coupe, Dave Deals
ZZZZZ-28 caricature Camaro, and the stock version of the 1999 Silverado Pickup. The Hemi-Cuda Engine from
Revell has also arrived. More pictures and ordering
information are available in the Revell Gallery now.

April 28, 2007: 1994 Sonoma Pickup

Hi Folks, you may notice a new and more consistent look to the web site.
We have attempted to make the left sidebar (with all the links)
completely consistent throughout the web site easing your navigation. You will notice
that the Catalog is now divided into two links. The first link is Kits: Current & Out of Production.
This link is broken down by categories and would be the easiest way to find a specific kit you are looking
for. Similarly, the Aftermarket: Parts & Accessories gives you handy access to all
of the categories of parts and accessories we carry. To find the newest kits, you may still refer to the
manufacturers galleries that are all grouped together now on the lower left sidebar. This is the first place we
post new kits as they come in. Speaking of new kits, this week we have the AMT 1994 GMC Sonoma, a
detailed kit in 1/25 scale. You may get more pictures and ordering information by visiting the
AMT Gallery.
April 14, 2007: 1943 Willys Pickup

Powered by a fully blown 427 motor and featuring a detailed authentic racing interior with opening doors, the Revell
1943 Willys Pickup Gasser is another private production winner from Model King. This 1/25 scale jewel is molded
in white (how we like 'em), and it features real rubber Big/Little drag racing tires. What's not to like? Check this
bad boy out in the Revell Gallery now.

In addition to the new Willys Pickup, we now have the box art for the first of three Model King Vintage Nascar reissues
including the 1972 Torino, the
1971 Mercury Cyclone, and the 1975 Chevy Laguna. We will be beefing up our vintage Nascar decal selections in the
near future to complement the kits. Pre-orders are welcome now, and you can see these kits with other Model King
Spring/Summer projects in either our Model King Gallery, or in our
Coming Soon Gallery now. Please Keep in mind that these will be be arriving at different
times in the Summer and Fall of 2007. We suggest you use the ship as available option if pre-ordering, and this
will be the default shipping option on these kits if no shipping option is specified.
Finally, we have added several new Revell kits to the Coming Soon Gallery including
the 1967 Corvette Coupe, Deals' Wheels ZZZZZ-28, 1965 Chevelle, 1941 Chevy Pickup, 1955 Belair, 1957 Chevy (3 'n 1) in
big 1/12 scale, and the new Hemi Cuda engine kit. Be sure to see all of the significant new kits in the
Coming Soon Gallery.
March 31, 2007: Kenz & Leslie Cougar, 1955 Chevy Pro-Mods

Featuring a realistic detailed Logghe chassis, Fully Blown 427 Motor, Halibrand Wheels,
and real rubber Vintage Drag tires, the very limited Kenz and Leslie 1968 Cougar Funny Car may be the finest
Model King release to date. While this is the same kit offered in the Cougar Combo set with the Bronco and trailer, this
individual Cougar features an all new box and authentic Kenz and Leslie decals. Ron Leslie, provided some vintage
pictures of his real car that adorn the sides of both the box top and box bottom. This one is a sweetheart! See it now
along with the new MPC Double Flip 1953 Ford Pickup in the AMT Gallery.

We will begin working through your pre-orders for these items this week and new orders are welcome now.

March 17, 2007: 1998 Firebird Pro-Stock, New look for the Farmer Tempest
Last Issued last in 1999 as the Goodwrench 'Superman' Firebird, the Revell
Late '90's Firebird Pro-stocks remain in strong demand. Model King has produced a very limited (1 of 3000)
reissue of this popular drag racing kit. He tells me that he has almost sold out, and he recommends that
modelers not be caught snoozing on these
new Firebirds. We will begin shipping pre-orders on March 26 and new orders are still
welcome.

Feast your eyes on this new artistic box for the Model King 1963 Altered Wheelbase Tempest. Limited to
(1 of 1000), the 1963 Altered Wheelbase Tempest kit in this box is sure to become a future collector's item.
The picture you see is the actual box top with no other markings. This type of box hearkens back to the golden
era of modeling in the late '60's when similar box tops were produced by AMT and MPC. Get 'em while you can.
Complete ordering information is available now in the AMT Gallery.
While you are there, don't miss the new 1986 El Caminos also from AMT tooling.

We have
received some more information from Model King on future release dates. The 1971 Tbird's appear to be coming
in late April along with the 1943 Willys Pickups. In May, we should have the Bonner/Platt Tbolts and the
Mack DM-600's. You can check out all of the Model King releases in the Model King Gallery.
We have now populated our Lindberg Gallery with about 15 new reissues.
A few of these kits have not been reissed in a couple of decades. The second quarter also looks promising with
the release of the Little Red Wagon and many of the Dodge Pro-Stocks. We will be listing these soon for pre-order.
In the meantime, be sure to take a look at what we have just received in stock in the Lindberg Gallery.

February 19, 2007: 1929 Woody/Pickup (4 'n 1), 1975 Blazer

This week we just received the 1929 Ford Woody with the cool little 1/25 scale Schwinn Spyder Bicycle. We are pleased that
AMT selected the vintage art work from the 1987 Version as this seems to best represent the kit. The kit includes
two bodies and lots of custom parts to build either a stock or custom Woody or a stock or custom Pickup. If you
visit the AMT Gallery and click on the thumbnail version, you will see the other three
building versions. If you look carefully in the back of the custom Pickup, you will see the very cool Schwinn Bike.

Also this week, we have the reissue of the 1975 Blazer (1/25 snap kit) from the MPC tooling.
You can always see all of the newest AMT kits in our AMT Gallery.
Finally, we have added a couple of items to the Coming Soon Page as manufacturing
has now been confirmed for Arnie Beswick's 1969 GTO Judge Funny Car and for Revell's AAR Cuda. You can see pictures
and find ordering information in our Coming Soon Gallery.
Thanks for stopping by!
February 2, 2007: New Lindberg kits
Several of you have asked about some of the new Lindberg kits that are appearing on the
market now. We will be carrying them and expect our first shipment in the next couple of weeks. We should
have pictures and ordering information on our site in the next few days. If you have particular Lindberg items
that you are interested in, we would love to hear from you by email as we plan our initial stocking levels. We
are beginning to build out the Lindberg Gallery this weekend. Be sure to take a peek.
February 2, 2007: AMT Vintage Showcars: Li'l Yeller School Bus and Li'l Mixer, 1932 Ford Vicky

This week, as planned, we announce the arrival of the private production Li'l Yeller School Bus and
the Li'l Mixer. The Li'l Yeller is known as the scholar with 'soul'. Sporting a custom school bus
body design and powered by a blown Ford 427, the Li'l Yeller features a raked frame, chrome wheels,
tandem slicks, and super wide low profile tires. Molded in white, the kit was originally released in
1970. This is part of a private limited production run of 5000. If you click on the thumbnail in the
AMT Gallery, you can view the box side panel and see some of these features.
Complimenting 'Yeller' is the always-popular Li'l Mixer. This Show Car sports a custom cab with mixer
drum and is also powered by a blown Ford 427. She features a delivery chute, tandem slicks, ultra low profile front
tires, mag wheels and exhaust dumps with full color decals. This kit is also molded in white and is
also part of a private production run of 5000 pieces. Original release year was 1970. For more ordering
information, please visit our AMT Gallery of new kits.

Finally, the firstfruits of Dirt Track Racing's three new kits has arrived. Originally issued in 1964, the AMT 1932
Ford Victoria has always been one of the most popular and versatile kits from AMT's vintage tooling. This kit
can be built as a bone stock 1932 Victoria, a custom cruiser, or with a little extra effort a fine Jalopy as
pictured below. I have reviewed the
build sheet for the Jalopy version and it is outstanding. If you want to take a peek at the build sheet, click on the
thumbnail of the 1932 Vicky in the AMT Gallery.
One will need a little Evergreen plastic and some parts
from Norm at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland to execute the advanced Jalopy version. This build sheet even
includes an email address to Fred from Fred's resin, who built the Jalopy pictured. You may contact Fred by email
if you get stuck attempting the Jalopy version. This is
a great kit out of the box with the two historic building versions. However, with the build sheet and added instructions
for a third authentic Jalopy version, we find this kit outstanding! The 1934 Ford Early Modified has also arrived,
and we will begin shipping pre-orders with these kits next week.

January 20, 2007: Dirt Track Combo and more from Revell, AMT on the sales block?

Hi folks and Happy New Year: First we want to take a moment and address some of the rumors you may
have been hearing about the AMT product line. We do understand that RC2 Corporation (NASDAQ RCRC)
is interested in selling their AMT plastic kit division. However, for 2007, RC2 has assured us it
will be 'business as usual', and all product annoucements for 2007 will be fulfilled. One can only speculate as
to who might wind up with this wonderful asset. We view the news as positive and have no fears of
AMT suddenly disappearing. This tooling has changed hands several times in the past and will only do
better in the hands of more focused management in our opinion. That's all we know at this point, and
we promise to update you here first as soon as we hear any legitimate breaking news.

This month, our headliner is the Model King Private reissue of the Lindberg Vintage Dirt Track Combo. Some of you
remember these 1/25 kits from 35 years ago released as the White Lightning and Kustom Coffin.
And, speaking of the Model King you can see all of Model King's plans for 2007 in the
Model King Gallery. Be sure to scroll all the way down as
we have some kits listed which do not yet have images.

Revell has also been busy this month, and the following kits have now been released including: the
new Custom Cadillac STS-V, the Custom Charger SRT-8, the 1964 Ford Thunderbolt, the 1957 Chevy Pro-Modified,
the 1980 Mustang Cobra Coupe, and the 1985 Camaro Z-28. Pictures and ordering information for each of these
kits are available now in the Revell Gallery.
We also have some more annoucements from Revell through March including
the 1955 Chevy Pro-Modified beautifully built and pictured above. Be sure to
see all of the significant new kits from all manufacturers in our Coming Soon Gallery. Thanks for
stopping by!
