(though it really helps) Kenseth joined other Badger state natives like Dick Trickle and Alan Kulwicki with great early success in the Cup Series. Matt served notice that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with in his rookie year when he became the first rookie to win the Coca-Cola 600. he followed up his fine rookie year in 2002 with five wins and a top ten in the points series against very tough competition.
