The Chevrolet Corvette captured the look and feel of European sports cars, but the car was an all-American Machine. 1960 was a year of Corvette innovations... and a year of record sales with 10,261 Corvettes taking to the streets. The '60 Vette featured futuristic styling with sculptured sides. The Corvette's power-to-weight ratio was significantly improved by the all-fiberglass body. The '60 Vette was a real screamer on the track.. and the envy of every driver -and would-be driver on the block.
