The success of the DS 19, the development of which had been handled by Andre Lefebvre, convinced Citroen management to continue innovation. The first cabriolets were initially designed by Bertoni and marketed by Chapron. Factory cabriolets were assembled on ID 19 chassis and offered with a "leather interior". The DS 19 was publicly launched at the 1961 Paris Car Show.
This is a highly detailed kit featuring soft, rubber-like tires with exact authentic treads, a highly detailed engine with cables, tubes and other "rubber like" parts for detailing, a detailed interior and chassis and illustrated printed instructions.
