"Big-Country - Big-Truck's", it says all. In addition to its vastness, fascinating cities and scorching heat, the Australian continent boats another special feature: trucks, trucks and more trucks of all makes and types. Kenworth of Australia have their entire production range on the roads of the fifth continent. The impressive conventionals do their duty under the T900 banner (W900 in the USA). The T900 includes all the accessories so typical of Australia. An absolute must for the crew is the air-conditioning unit, raised induction pipes at the air-filter boxes (to protect against dust and dirt) and the bull bars -also known as kanaroo bars- to prevent damage when colliding with kangaroos or wild cattle. Huge fuel tanks ensure a wider operating or tank range, and Trilex rims assist with tyre changing. The T900 are powered by Caterpillar, Cummins or Detroit diesel engines with a power output from 350 to 500 bhp. And so the "Kennies" thunder across the Australian outback with up to three trailers or semi-trailers in tow.
