Sox & Martin won every major title in the stock category of drag racing. In 1969, they became the second drag racing team in history to win three of the four major NHRA national championship meets. As great as the years before were, they were nothing compared to 1970 season which literally put Sox & Martin out of comparison withe the rest of drag racing. In the Pro-Stock class, Ronnie Sox power-shifted the Hemi Cuda past the fields of fourteen major championship events. The ten AHRA and four NHRA titles made him the dual World Champ and the only driver ever to win four consecutive championships.
The real car you see in the fourth picture of the rotation (if you have access) was a 12 race winner that recently came up for auction. Bidding reached $450,000, but the reserve was not met, and the offer was declined.
