"A Rare Find with Optional Motorization"
This ultra cool Scirocco GTI kit has been around since about 1980. It was manufactured in Japan, and has been released under several labels including Scale Craft, Imai, and Bandai. The kit has the parts and gears for motorization and lights. Powered by a Mabuchi RE-140 Electric Motor (Sold Separately, but readily available for under $10), this model can be built with or without motorization capability. For the motorization version, the instructions are quite detailed and descriptions of auxiliary parts needed are well described.
The model can also be built as a slick curbside racer.
This kit came to us from the Estate of a very talented Foreign and Exotic Race Car Builder from the Chicago area. All parts are factory sealed with a white body, black undercarriage parts, chrome parts, clear parts, and flexible rubber tires. The decal is sealed in with the clear parts tree. The box has normal shelf wear and has been resealed for preservation and to keep the contents in tact.
