Slingshot Dragster with driver figure (1/25) (fs) 1990's Reissue of one of Monograms first kits from 1959

The early days of sanctioned drag racing saw the development of a new type of race car, with a long, narrow, and streamlined body, a potent race-tuned engine, and a driver sitting well behind the rear wheels (which is where the term "slingshot" came from.) One of the most popular of the early fuel dragsters was the Cook & Bedwell Special, from which Monogram Models drew its design inspiration to create their Slingshot Dragster kit.

Galaxie Limited is proud to bring back the Slingshot Dragster kit in a limited edition special that echoes the original kit in every way, including the vintage box art. Features of the Slingshot Dragster kit include plastic parts molded in color, 4 two-piece black plastic racing tires, Moon disc and Halibrand racing wheels, and a full-color decal sheet with all the original kit's graphics.
