Styrene Stars by Virgil "Dr. Cranky" Suarez is one of the most beautiful tributes to automotive modeling that we have seen. Written by Suarez with Layout and Production by Harry Pristovnik, this book is a work of art. The book interviews 22 modeler's and discovers their top 10 list of favorite model kits and why. Each section also features wonderfully photographed images of some of each modeler's favorite builds. While Modeler's will pick up a few choice tips and a boatload of inspirations and ideas, this book is by no means a detailed how-to or technique book. It is more of an homage to automotive modeling and a glimpse into the psyches and workshops of some of the world's greats including Bill Coulter, Jean-Jacques Lillette, Sean Svendsen, Tommy May, Yasu Okugawa, Tim Kolankiewicz, Derrick Six, Donn Yost and more.
