1955 Corvette Stock V-8 (2 'n 1) Stock or Drag (1/25) (fs) MINT 1976 First Issue

Issued in 1976, this is the first issue of the AMT 1955 Corvette (2 'n 1). Like many early annuals, the kit "lost parts" thru the reissues, and the cool Drag parts are long gone from later reissues. In outward appearance, the '55 Vette was nearly a carbon copy of its '53/'54 predecessors. Paint and trim choices were expanded, but the real news was in the engine room which now housed Chevy's sensational new V8, alive with power to match the looks of GM's "plastic fantastic". With 285 Cubic Inches, and 195 Real Horsepower, the '55 could not be far from the drag strip.
