1961 Mercury Comet 2-Door Sedan (3 'n 1) Stock, Custom or Competition (1/25)
Issued in 1961 and manufactured in Troy, Michigan
This kit is amazing! How sweet the AMT 1961 Annuals were as this was the first year the entire line had detailed engines with open hoods. This kit is untouched and pristine. The only issue with this particular kit is the glass. As with many kits from this era, tire burn can be an issue as the compounds used for the tires can have an erosive effect on styrene. The windshield on this one has a bad tire mark. However, we have included a replacement vacu-formed windshield from Modelhaus. The modeler would need to cut the roof runners and use the Modelhaus windshield for the front and the original kit glass for the rear. The rest of the kit is beautiful.
