1967 Chevelle SS 396 (2 'n 1) stock or street (1/25) (fs) Issued in
1990, this is the original first issue.
The Chevelle SS 396 was Chevrolet's answer to the big block craze which
started in the mid sixties. The '67 model was the second year for the
new body style introduced in 1966. Refinements were made to the front
and the rear of the body giving the Chevelle an even sportier look. The
real selling point, however, was the revered 396 engine. Equipped with
the 396, the Chevelle SS quickly caused havoc on the streets with its
brisk acceleration and virile performance. 369,144 Chevelles were
produced in 1967.
